Snow Day 3

This is ARKANSAS people! We don't get a third snowday! Usually it's the day of, a little dirty snow maybe and then it's gone by day 3. Not only do we still have snow, we still have lots of it and plenty for sledding! We discovered the hill behind our house is pretty good for sledding. It was fun and the boys loved it!

The boys after checking the mail. Not sure why they were so interested in the postcard from NY & Co.???

Our road at Noon on Sunday. Schools are already closed for tomorrow.

Big Snow Day 2

Today we spent lots of time playing outside in the snow. Samuel had fun, but didn't like getting so cold. Tyler liked it, but had a lot of trouble walking since it was knee high or higher on him in some of the drifts.

Our road at Noon on Friday:
I bought a sled earlier in the week hoping the forcast would come true. Leggett and Daddy spent a lot of time helping the boys sled down the cove across from our house.

Daddy making a snow angel.
This snow storm had a lot of wind, so some of the drifts were really deep.

What fun is snow without a little snowball fight??

Daddy, Leggett and Samuel went back out later in the evening and made a great sledding hill behind our house - more sledding tomorrow!

Big Snow

We had a great snowfall here in Jonesboro today. It started last night with sleet and some freezing rain (not good), but changed over this morning to snow. I spent most of the day with a heater pointed at my kitchen window because I couldn't see out and it was driving me crazy!

All the pictures I took were through our windows. LOL We didn't venture outside today...
Except for Kevin who went out to take measurments. He got 7" and it snowed just a little more after this.
It is so bright outside! I love it, but makes it a little hard to sleep.
Fun tomorrow!!

Snow Day!

We finally got snow! I guess third times the charm! After being teased Christmas Eve and earlier this week with the chances of snow, we finally got a little on the ground. Although earlier they were saying 2-4 inches and we ended up with less than 1 inch. But thanks to a little bit of sleet first, the roads were slick enough to close school.

We weren't able to stay out long because it's so cold, but Samuel's friend Gavin from school came down to play for a little bit.
They made snow angels in the driveway because there wasn't enough snow on the grass to make them.
Tyler didn't really understand the concept of making snowangels. Ha!
Samuel's snowangel.

My Monkey!

After watching the kids on the hill across from our house, they decided to see if the frisbee would work. Not so much. Looks like Momma needs to buy a sled before the next snowfall.

Tyler mostly liked eating it.
