More on how it all began

First of all - Amy mentioned that we should buy the van. That's another funny part. About a year ago our church got ready to sell the old grey van affectionatly known as The Phantom (named by Packy Magel). In a business meeting as we talked about it, our pastor actually said "That old van actually holds a lot of memories for a lot of people. A lot of trips have been taken in that van." And I couldn't help but speak up. I said "Kevin and I met in that van and later started dating in that van." He instantly replied - "Want to buy a van?" I said "We talked about it, but no the memory is enough." I intended to take a picture of us in front of it before they got rid of it, but never did.

Also, Kevin read the post today and wanted me to add two - what he calls - "important" pieces to the story. On that Memphis shopping trip we ate at Chili's. Because there were several of us, they sat us at two tables across the isle from each other. At our table it was myself, Kevin and two other girls and he was talking smack with Packy across the isle at the other table about how great he was and how he was the mack daddy. So as we sit this listening to all of this, this very pretty girl walks up to the table and says the Kevin "Do I know you?" He said "I don't think so." She says "Hu, I could swear I know you from somewhere." He replies no but that he's from West Memphis. She says no, it must not be him and walks back to her table full of a bunch of giggling college girls. Kevin looks at Packy and says "See I told you." He LOVES that story!

Second story - So I had the boyfriend and Kevin and this other guy whom I was very interested in. He and I were really good friends and I worked part-time for his parents in the summer and on weekends that I went home. We were huge flirts and everyone in the mall where we worked couldn't believe that we weren't dating. So on the weekend I went home for Christmas I went straight to his house to tell him I was breaking up with the boyfriend. I spent a lot of the Christmas break with him telling him all about Kevin. It was all part of my plan you see. When I was with Kevin, I talked about the other guy. LOL I figured one of them would bite. So on the first night back at school after Christmas break I went skating with Kevin at FBC. When I got home I had a message to call the guy. His dad said he was in the shower, but should be out any minute and he would have him call me. So 2 minutes later the phone rings I say hello and he says hey. So I just start talking all about what Kevin and I had done that night and about holding hands while we skated and on and on and then the voice on the other end says "Who do you think this is?" Instantly I thought - oh no! It was Kevin, not the other guy. Kevin always jokes that he should have let me just keep going to he could find out exactly what all I thought about him. So what happened with the other guy? The weekend after I broke up with the boyfriend, I went home and went to see him. He instantly backed off and showed no interest. So I figured to heck with him and went forward with Kevin. A year later he told me that he was trying to give me some room and didn't know I would get into another serious relationship so soon. Sorry, wasn't meant to be I guess.
