13 Thursday.

13 Totally random things that should probably be their own post - but who has time for that!

1. Tyler has begun walking in the past week. By this I mean taking more than two connected steps and then falling to the floor. He can actually get from point A to point B if he really tries.
2. He has also begun pouting. Tonight Kevin told him NO very sternly for throwing his banana on the floor. He stuck out his bottom lip and dropped his head. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! Trust me, I'll try to get a picture of this and post it when I do.

3. I was so excited this past weekend to get to spend Saturday afternoon with my friend Kelly - who left me 4 years ago to move to NWA! We went to to Bentonville to see Kevin's brother, and for the guys to go to the Razorback game. So when they leave for the game, I head to Kelly's in Siloam Springs. Her oldest was gone for the day on a youth group activity, but Samuel had a blast playing with Sydney. Even though they don't remember, these two used to be big buddies!

4. The nail pulled from my tire a couple of weeks ago. I can pick up any nail or screw anywhere at anytime. Just point one toward my car and it will jump into my tire. Doubt me, ask Chris Leggett or Chris Grimes! All I have to do is call one of them and they'll ask what's wrong with my tire. This one came out in perfect shape except the head had begun to wear down. Grimes said it's amazing that it was in there like that.

5. I have begun making capes to sell at craft fairs and what not. This is Samuel's cape and he loves it! He wears it all the time and tells me it makes him Batman. This past Saturday he wore it the entire day!

6. My new blog. I have sort of got my new business blog up and running. I've got lots of pics to add and some new stuff I'm making (like the capes), but all in due time. The address is http://www.daileywear.blogspot.com/

7. Tuesday night we invited Uncle Richard and Aunt Haley over to eat Taco Soup and carve pumpkins. We didn't carve pumpkins last year because Tyler was still just tiny and the idea of cleaning it up was a bit too much for me.
8. I'm not sure who's scarier in this pic!

9. But I know who's cuter in this one!
10. All finished up and ready for Halloween.

11. The boys treat bags my friend Sebrina Ball at Lucky Mama made for the boys. I think they are so cute!

12. And speaking of Halloween, this has to be Samuel's favorite Halloween treat. He was so excited that I bought an entire box of them.
13. Saturday is Samuel's birthday party. This is the invitation I made for him. I was afraid that Walgreens wouldn't print it since it had the images on it, but they did with no questions. He was so excited that he's carried one around with him for several days.

Thankful Tuesday

Okay, it has been forever since I've done a Ten Things Tuesday, but figured it was time.
1. I did not need new brakes after all this morning, saving me tons of money!
2. Stop, Shop & Stroll went well Saturday which was a huge relief.
3. After only getting 3 hours sleep the night before b/c I was up sewing all night, Tyler slept all night Saturday night and didn't wake until 8 a.m.
4. Kevin was super sweet on Saturday and cleaned the kitchen, swept and vacummed all the floors and cleaned the bedroom while I was at the craft show - and took care of Tyler.
5. I get to see Kelly this weekend! YEAAAA!!!
6. I got the boys some clothes tonight at 50% off of markdown plus 15% off - gotta love Children's Place!!
7. I get to stay home tomorrow and do laundry. If you were out of clothes to wear, you'd be thankful too!
8. Tyler started saying Momma again - A LOT!
9. Chinese food today for lunch.
10. The holiday's are coming! I love Oct. - Dec.!

Blog, Blog, Blog

Life has been so busy the last couple weeks that I've had no time to blog, so I've spent the day trying to catch up. Enjoy reading down through the 4 or 5 post I've added today.

Stop, Shop & Stroll

Saturday we had Stop, Shop & Stroll Arts & Crafts Show. It was an experiment that none of us were real sure about, but thought if nothing else it would be fun. It started with a group of ladies from HDBC and SCBC and then a few other friends who joined us along the way. We had no idea if anyone would come or what would happen. My two fears were that no one would come or that we would have so many we couldn't handle them all. But it ended up just about right. :) We had just over 300 (plus children) come through which was a great crowd. I was happy with how the day turned out and although I'm still worn out, it was a fun day.

Race for the Cure

Last weekend I walked with the team from work - The Sisterhood of the Traveling MooMoo's in Race for the Cure. It was my first time to walk. We walked toward the back of the pack. There were around 5,000 people walking, mostly women and some families who participated in the 2K family walk. Shortly into the walk, we made our way to the Broadway Bridge. As we made our way onto the bridge with the group I thought - Wow, I must be in worse shape than I thought, my legs feel shaky. Then I felt kind of dizzy and almost faint. I thought to myself, we're only a few blocks into this 3 mile walk, I'm going to be in trouble! Then as I looked around, I see lots of other women looking like they were also having trouble walking, their arms out to balance themselves. As people started looking at each other like they weren't sure what was going on, others started saying, "The bridge is moving." One lady headed ahead of us headed to the side of the bridge as ladies began to get neasous. Women began holding onto each other and bracing each other as they knocked and bumped into each other. When you looked down, you could see the bridge under you feet. Every some many steps, I would have to stop walking to get my balance so I could begin to walk again without falling over. As we made it from the large suspension bridge to the pillar bridge, the metal conectors banged together under our feet as you looked down through the bridge to the river below. I personally was releaved to make it to the more solid bridge. Later when I talked to a friend ahead of us in the walk, she said the bridge was not moving when they crossed. My mom sent me an article from the paper printed this week that said the bridge had in fact done what it was designed to do. The bridge is suppose to sway under such circumstances. But - I have already decided that next year I want to be in the front half of the walk!
The walk was made even more fun by my friend Marina joining me. It was nice to have someone to go with me and we had a good time. She and her husband James spent the previous night at my parents and James fished at my parents pond while we spent the morning walking. Thanks Marina for walking with me!
We also had the opportunity to worship in my home churches brand new building and worship center. It was a great weekend!

Last Day

Friday is the last day to have a little baby in the house. Saturday he will turn 1. I can't get over how fast this year has gone by and how quickly he has grown through so many of the milestones. He's a busy little boy now and keeps us running. He's not yet walking, but I think is just days away. He finally had a tooth break through on Monday, so he's just about a week past Samuel on this stage. He can crawl as fast as you can get across the house and loves to wrestle with Samuel. We are having a family party on Saturday and I'll post pics soon of that. Here is the birthday invitation and the pictures I made for his 1st birthday.
