After about a month, we are done decorating for Christmas and will start taking it down in 2 weeks. Really I exaggerate, but it feels that way. We began decorating the weekend before Thanksgiving, which we've never done before, but we knew if we didn't it would never get done. By the time we left for Thanksgiving, we had the big tree up and mostly decorated and the small tree with light. Five days later we came home and I finished the large tree and most of the mantel. Then we left again for four days in Atlanta. The following week I was finally able to get the boys trees up and the small tree decorated. It felt like forever, but really it was just all spaced out. I am amazed though at how quickly the time has gone from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

And this is Elfie. He is our Elf on The Shelf that watches over the boys and reports each night to Santa. He will also report back what you would like for Christmas. Each night when he returns, he finds a new place to sit and watch through the day. Sometimes though he doesn't move and we aren't sure why. LOL

Shaila your tree looks beautiful. What is in the fireplace - is that lights or candles? I like it! I also liked the ornament decor in the dining room! Very pretty!
