Mosquitoes and Rain

Remember the theme from that 80's show "You Take the Good, You Take the Bad..."? Well, that's kind of how it is here in Jonesboro. Early in the spring we had rain and storms every 2 or 3 days for a couple of months (If you read some of my early post, you will find how frustrated I was by it). But when the rain finally stopped, it just stopped and we went for about a month with no rain at all. The good part about this? No mosquitoes. But that also meant either a brown lawn or watering it everyday and farmers who badly needed rain. So we needed the rain. So the rains have finally come back over the last few days - and so have those terrible little (did I say little?) bugs! I spent the few minutes I drive to work swatting mosquitoes away because they had filled my car. I'm getting very tired of those itchy little red bumps and poor Samuel looks like he was attacked after being outside 4th of July weekend. Tyler hasn't gotten them too bad yet, but he was in the car with me this morning, so I'm sure they got him too. So yeah for rain, boo for mosquitoes!
