What's better than a girls weekend? A weekend with one of your best friends who lives 6 hours away! This past weekend I went with a group of women from church to Branson for the Women of Joy conference. My best friend Kelly met me there and we spent the weekend listening to some great speakers and shopping.
The Friday night speaker was Kirk Cameron, star of Growing Pains and most recently Fireproof. I used to be in love with Kirk Cameron! I had his poster above my bed and can still remember he had on a blue t-shirt and white pants in the poster. No, I didn't tell him that! 
I was able to meet him briefly and was able to take him picture holding Stellan's name. He had actually just heard about Stellan that same week which was pretty awesome to both of us. He also said that he and his wife are working to start a ministry for couples on parenting and marriage and I look forward to seeing what they do with it.

KC is even hotter now than he was then - which is hard to believe could be possible!
Okay, this is so funny!! I saw this picture on MckMama's blog and thought "Oh my gosh! They must have been at the conference too!" Awesome :)
