We have had our first major accident I guess you could say. Last night after church I noticed Samuel sounded different when he talked. Then as he walked toward me I could see that his tooth was broken. As any good mom, I freaked a little while Kevin and another friend basically said, ah, it's just a tooth. He said he fell off the merry go round thing on the playground and hit the ground. I'm still not sure that's how he did it, but it was at least something he did on the playground. But as I fretted and worried, Kevin reminded me that it could have been a broken bone and we could have been on our way to the ER - good point! But we did see the dentist first thing this morning and basically it's wait and see. It is not to the nerve, but the XRay did show trauma around the tooth which is probably causing his sensitivity. We will watch it over the next 3 months to see if they tooth may start dying and turning colors. Then we'll look at what we can do. Luckily it is a baby tooth, but the dentist said it looks like he will probably be 7 before he begins losing those teeth, so we've got 3 years to go! Ah, the unexpected moments of parenthood.

So sorry about the tooth!! Take it from someone who knows... once you get past the trauma (it took me a LONG time), it just becomes part of their sweet little face. I hope you don't have to have anything done, but if it does come out, everyone will just think he's older!! Keep me updated.
Oh no! I would've freaked, too. LOL I'm glad it seems to be okay. Hopefully the tooth will "live"!
