Confession Sunday 3

1. I was so busy last Sunday, I didn't even have time to make any confessions. We went to church, to lunch, and then Kevin dropped me and Tyler back off at the church for a wedding shower followed by a VBS meeting, followed by a preschool committee meeting and then church. We got home about 7:30, ate supper, got the boys in bed and then I sat up until 2:30 a.m. finishing up deadlines for work - a long day!

2. This is the first Memorial Day weekend Kevin and I have ever been in Jonesboro. We always go to my mom and dads for my moms family reunion. My mom is in Hawaii with my brother and his family, so no trip this weekend.

3. This is also the first Riverfest we've missed in 9 years beginning with the weekend before we got married.

4. But - we had so much fun with our friends today, we hardly even missed it. After church, we all went out to lunch. Then Meghan came over to scrapbook this afternoon followed by 6 others who came to join us later for a cookout and playing Wii.

5. Unplanned, but we ended up subjecting our friends to watching The Wizard of Oz set to Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon." If you've never done this, it is totally freaky! The music is a soundtrack for the movie. Give it a try. Start the music when the MGM lion roars the third time. Then when the CD ends, there will be about a 5 minute break. When the Cowardly Lion roars the third time, start the music again. Kevin and I have done this 5 or 6 times in college and since with different friends.

6. I did not mean this to be a play-by-play on our weekend, it just happened. LOL

7. I cleaned my kitchen yesterday for 5 or 6 hours. One it was a mess, but I cleaned out my pantry, my fridge and reorganized some of my cabinets.

8. I think I may have run a red light on Thursday. The new one by Outback. I'm not sure, but after I went through it, I wasn't sure if it was green or even if I looked. Scary!

9. Samuel and I ate at Chick-fil-a on Friday for $1.50! I had cards for a free sandwich, free fry, free kids meal and a free milkshake with purchase. So all I had to buy was the large tea.

10. I ordered a bunch of stuff from my friend Amy B. this week for Tyler. It started out with wanting a couple of monogramed onsies or shirts and ended up with 2 shirts, 2 bibs and a pair of boxer shorts. Can't wait to see them! I you don't know Amy, she makes the most adorable stuff. Check out her website: http://www.angelaccents.blogspot.com/
