Memorial Weekend

Really late posting this, but it's been a very long week. Memorial weekend we always go to my parents for my mom's side family reunion (except last year when she escaped to Hawaii with my brothers family). On Sunday afternoon we always go to Riverfest. Some years I think it should be called Rainfest. This was one of those years. Usually we stick it out, but this year we decided pizza at Shotgun Dans sounded better and headed there. No pics b/c it was pouring!

Much of the weekend we spent at the pond. Samuel loves to ride the paddle boat and pretty much lives outside while we're there.

Kevin and our friend Chris spent more than half the weekend just like this. And yes, Kevin's using Samuel's kiddy fishing pole. He said it was catching fish like crazy.

Just kidding. They really did catch some nice size brim. They through them all back though. They figure that the two of them caught more than 200 fish on Saturday. I would say they were bitting.

Samuel was excited to see Papaw's ducks and how much they had grown. They've really gotten big and are now swimming on the pond and are pretty much on their own.
